Looking for Love was a spoken-word performance based on the themes and provocations of the written work Sharing Is Pairing. It was structured as a trialogue of effusive accord between three irreconcilable political voices, each ‘looking for love’ (that is, epic commitment) within the climate justice movement. It was a critique of micro-ethical accord (e.g. the moral injunction to recycle) and the demonstration of the primacy of affect (how we speak rather than what we say) in navigating pressing political problems and ailing democratic forums.
Looking for Love was performed at the 2016 Off the Grid Festival led by Finding Infinity at The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) in Melbourne. It was written, edited and presented with Eleanor Tullock and Dan Schulz of FLOG! Publications.
