ABOUT

Paul is an architect, urban designer and writer who articulates the underlying expectations, instruments and outcomes of urban development. His projects combine detailed spatial analysis, cut-through provocations and civic engagement; and culminate in alternative spatial proposals for complex and contested urban sites. These proposals are oriented towards the affective re-design of more egalitarian, engaging and regenerative cities.

Paul brings insight and skills from extensive international experience in architecture, urban design, public art and media. His most recent roles include Urban Designer at MVRDV (2018-19), Senior Architect at Snøhetta (2020-21) and Associate at Monash Art Projects (2022-25).

Paul has a PhD by practice from RMIT University (2025), where he has taught innovative design techniques as a sessional academic since 2015. In 2022 he was a founding director of EXCX, a collective making interventions to reactivate public spaces following the pandemic.
